December 07

To celebrate my birthday, as well as Pearl Harbor Day, Carl took me to The Harvest Room at Thanksgiving Point. It's lovely there. It was so nice to be able to go out, just the two of us (thanks Grandma and Grandpa Miller). What made it even nicer is it snowed a ton that day, so it was slow for them and we had a little area mostly to ourselves. Outside they had a little corral with reindeer. I may have been the only adult that was excited by this.

It's been so much fun watching Ben grow. He becomes more and more talkative all the time, particularly when it's quiet. Just last Sunday in sacrament meeting I was holding him and he wouldn't stop jabbering and kept opening his mouth and rubbing it all over my face (if that makes any sense). I couldn't stop laughing, so Carl took him out... it still took me a while to stop laughing. An interesting thing I've noticed is when he's making happy noises it's "dah da da da" and when he's upset and crying, the noises sound like "mah ma maa ma"... it's just not fair.

I may not crawl yet, but Ive got moves.

This is Ben's favorite song that Carl plays. Particularly the part he keeps repeating, it's not the only part Carl can play. This clip is a little loud, you may want to adjust your volume.

More of Ben

Sometimes Ben makes funny noises...

Sometimes we make funny noises too...

And sometimes, Ben dances...

I'm not sure it gets any cuter than this

This is my favorite picture of him right now.

Here we have Benjamin's first official baseball game, Byu vs. some other team who doesn't matter because they didn't win. As you can see, Ben is too focused on the game to look at the camera. Go cougars.

On May 3, Carl and I celebrated our 1st anniversary together. It was a perfect weekend, we went and had a couples massage, and Carl made me a video of pictures of us to music, including the song he wrote for me when we got married. It's a tear jerker. Maybe I'll post it someday. We also got to bless Ben at church that day. It was perfect.

On his blessing day, 4 generations. And Bill begat Bryce who begat Carl who begat Ben.

On April 24th, Carl graduated Magna Cum Laude from BYU in Linguistics. The night before, Ben only let me sleep 3 hours (enter tired eyes) and Carl was running a fever of 102.

On March 21st at 6:07 pm Benjamin Bryce joined the family weighing in at 9 lbs 1 oz and measuring 21 1/2 inches long.
